SC.01 Route A · Cloud backup

Secure offsite cloud backup

Storing your data across multiple devices in different locations is a fundamental step to securing it against corruption or loss.

Backing up to our cloud means that if the worst should happen on site (fire, flood, theft or hardware failure), all of your valuable data is still intact and recoverable. It’s UK-based and fully GDPR compliant, with no third-party involvement: we own our data centre and equipment.

Offsite backup to the Duplia cloud Your studio backs up automatically to Duplia’s own UK-based data centre on a schedule. Large initial backups can be ingested physically by Duplia engineers, and data can be recovered over the internet or delivered on hard drives.     Effortlessly create a second location for your data, increasing security and disaster prevention.

    Backups run automatically on a schedule you set. Only the changes are sent, and bandwidth limits keep them from slowing your working day.

  • Disaster data recovery

    In the event of large onsite data loss, we can copy the files you need onto hard drives and have your data hand delivered.

  • Physical ingestion

    Initial backups & large volumes of data can be ingested manually by our engineers, reducing the time it takes to secure your data.

  • Versioning

    Keep as many earlier versions as you need and restore from any of them, including from before a ransomware attack. Old versions are rotated out automatically.

  • Encryption

    Backups are protected with AES-256 encryption. With client-side encryption, the key stays with you.

  • Backup health checks

    We run regular integrity checks on your backups to catch corrupted data early, so they’re ready to restore when you need them.

  • Workstations & servers

    Back up editing workstations, servers and virtual machines as well as your storage, then restore a single file or a whole machine.

Long-term storage for irreplaceable footage

Offline archiving (also known as “cold storage”) is a cost-effective way to keep valuable, irreplaceable data for the long term. It works perfectly when a project is complete and the data no longer needs to be accessed frequently.

We offer offline archiving as a service: we assist with duplicating the data onto hard drives or LTO, and provide the correct environment for reliable long-term storage.
